10 years ago, after a quick stop to grab a much-needed chocolate energy-boost, I trudged back to my car, yanked open the door and sank down onto the seat. I then looked over to the driver’s seat and realised with astonishment it was empty and I had unconsciously sat in the passenger seat, desperately needing someone else to drive. That moment came at the lowest point of my exhaustion when I so badly just wanted someone else to take control of my life because I was too darn tired to hold it all together anymore.
